• It has been described by Charaka to be useful as an antiflatulant and anticolic drug. Sonph (Foeniculum valigare) The dried ripe fruit and essential oil are used as purgative.
• Root is also regarded as purgative and it is one of the five purgative roots of the ancients in Europe. Gulab phool(Rosa centifolia) It is cultivated in many parts of India.
• In court yard. Fresh fully expanded petals are of a sweetish bitter and faintly astringent taste and roseate odour both readily imparted to water.
• This drugs is officinal in the Pharmacopoeia of India. Harad(Terminilia chebula) ,Behada(Terminilia belerica) & Amala(Phyllanthus emblica) Are the constituents of Triphala and are well known rasayana drugs.
• They enhance body resistance against disease and improve mental faculties. Sendha Namak It is found in small white crystalline grains or transparent cubes.
• It is brownish white externally and white internally. It has a pure saline taste and burns with a yellow flame.
